Ten Thousand Charms

by Kim Avery

“I will arise and go to Jesus. He will embrace me in His arms.  And in the arms of my dear Savior, there are ten thousand charms. Ten thousand charms.”

On this Palm Sunday, I reflect on what Jesus endured for love of me.

#36.  Riding a donkey on the way to His death.

#37. Weeping blood over the price He had to pay

#38. Betrayed by a man He called His friend

#39. Being tried for a crime He didn’t commit

#40. Subjecting Himself to evil men

#41. Carrying a cross intended for me

#42. Amazing love, how can it be, that Thou my God, should die for me

During this season of Lent I can’t help but reflect on all that my Savior did for me as His feet walked our dusty soil.

#31. Jesus took time to teach us when we couldn’t understand.

#32. He raised up the sick.

#33. He gave sight to the blind.

#34.  He fed the hungry.

#35. He bowed low to wash our feet.
